We undertake socio-economic baseline and impact assessment review to check you have everything covered. We pay particular attention to the wording of mitigation measures to ensure they address the issue, are practical and clearly worded so that they can be clearly understood by anyone and allow for measurement and monitoring.
On-site social performance management
Contractors often need support and capacity building to effectively address the social performance requirements of the project. We’re happy to help train and support the contractor management team and assist with processes and procedures.
Key social performance issues
In our experience there are some issues that consistently present a challenge for construction contractors: workforce accommodation planning and management; traffic & transport assessment and control; community health, safety and security topics; local employment and recruitment; and cascading social performance requirements through their subcontracting chain.
